Derbyshire Pension Fund held the first meeting of its Member Engagement Forum on Monday 22 July 2024.
We received helpful and insightful feedback from the members in attendance on a number of topics. The Fund’s investments and climate strategies were discussed, as well as our communications with members. This feedback will be taken into consideration by the Fund and explored further at future Forum meetings.
Although the Forum is not part of the Fund’s formal governance structure, the aim is that it will be a vital component in helping to achieve continued improvements in operational matters, and to support the delivery of an efficient and effective pension service for our scheme members.
Future Forums
Our plan is for a Forum to be held twice a year. In light of the feedback received, we will also aim to discuss fewer topics but go into greater detail with more time for engagement and discussion.
The topics for the next Forum, potentially in January 2025, will focus more on our communications, including My Pension Online. Closer to the time, we will provide more information as well as seeking input from members on topics they would like to see be discussed.
