My Pension Online

Please use this form to start the process to request payment of your deferred Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) benefits in Derbyshire Pension Fund.

If you wish to get an estimate, please use My Pension Online. On this service you can find a "Deferred pension payment" benefit projector. This projector allows you to change the date as many times as you like to help you decide on your retirement date.

Please note:

  • To use this form, you must be a deferred member who has already left or opted out of the LGPS.
  • If you have opted out, you must have left the post your deferred benefits relate to in order to take payment.
  • You can voluntarily take your benefits between the age of 55 and 75.
  • If you left before 1 April 1998 then your pension must be paid from age 60.
  • To apply for your deferred benefits on the grounds of ill health, please complete our Enquiry form.
  • If you have an Additional Voluntary Contribution (AVC), we'll provide you with a retirement quote 2 weeks before your retirement date at the earliest due to the fluctuation of AVC funds.
  • You do not have to take payment of your pension if you complete this form.

  • Retirement date

    Please choose the date you would like your deferred benefits payable from. This date must be at least 2 months from today's date and no more than 6 months in the future.

    If your chosen date is less than 2 months in the future, the payment date for your benefits will be changed to 2 months after we receive your request:

  • Multiple deferred pensions

  • By selecting this option, you’re confirming that you have one deferred pension which you’d like to receive a quote for at your selected retirement date.

    You do not need to provide any further information. Please proceed to the declaration.

  • By selecting this option, you’re confirming that you have multiple deferred pensions, and you’d like to receive quotes for all of them at your selected retirement date.

  • By selecting this option, you’re confirming that you have multiple deferred pensions, and you’d like to take one or more of at them your selected retirement date.

    Please use the ‘More information’ box to provide details of your payroll reference or member reference for the deferred pension you’d like to take. If you’d like to take more than one, please provide references for each deferred pension.

    You can find your payroll reference and membership references quoted on your annual benefit statements and also on your My Pension Online account.

  • Declaration

    By submitting this form, I understand that:

    - If I choose a retirement date that is less than 2 months in the future, my selected date may change. This is to ensure the Fund has enough time to complete my request.

    - I understand that I am required to declare details of my other pension entitlements before receiving a pension quotation.

    - I understand that any delay in providing details of my other pension entitlements to the Fund may mean my retirement date is adjusted.

    - The early retirement reduction factors or late increase factors provided by the Government Actuary Department (GAD) are subject to change and may be affected between estimate stage and payment stage.

    - If I have AVC, I will receive a retirement quote 2 weeks before my retirement date at the earliest due to the fluctuation of AVC fund values.
